This pricey French label sets the standard for high-end jewellery and its covetable range of watches and diamonds has graced the likes of high society’s late Elizabeth Taylor and Kate Middleton.
Best for: While most of us can only dream of owning a piece by the luxe label, their range of ladie’s watches are particular to-die-for and could set you back more than Dhs20,000.

.Stocking everything from engagement rings to the more affordable silver bracelets and signature dog-tag necklaces, Tiffany’s has a strong whiff of Audrey Hepburn glamour about it – that’s no bad thing.
Best for: Surprising your other half. Pick up statement-style silver jewellery, key rings, and even baby rattles for a reasonably hefty price.

This French fashion jewellery brand specialises in exceedingly pretty trinkets that just make us want to play dress-up in front of the mirror for hours and hours.
Best for: People who love colourful statement pieces. As well as selling silver pieces, a lot of their jewellery is fun and takes its cue from all the colours of the rainbow.

Leading Italian jewellery brand famed for superior gems and innovation. Their range of masterpieces includes fine jewellery, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and of course diamond rings. What’s more Sharon Stone is a brand ambassador.
Best for: People looking to spend big bucks. The intricately-crafted diamante bracelets (as modeled by Ms Stone) are particularly eye-grabbing, but the fine moon-drop rings are also beautiful.
De Beers

De Beers

De Beers is diamonds. Big, sparkling, clean cut diamonds. Enough said.
Best for: Whether its rocks the size of one-dirham coins or diamonds the size of a pinhead, this heavily-guarded diamond haunt (which was first established in 1888) is best for window shopping – there’s no harm in day-dreaming!

Best for: You name it, they sell it: fascinators, headbands, statement earrings, handbags, scarfs, hats, wallets and even slippers.

Dubai’s famous old gold souk is widely considered the largest gold bazaar in Arabia. Be prepared to haggle if you want to bag a bargain.
Best for: Local-style yellow gold. While you may not want to buy anything from here, you should definitely go to check out the elaborate wedding jewellery, including tiaras, heavy necklaces and bracelets that dangle right down to the hands.

This Dubai-based and Indian-owned jewellery brand stocks ethnic-inspired antiques and modern pieces that wouldn’t look astray on the Bollywood set.
Best for: If you’ve got the cash to fork out on expensive costume-style jewellery, then this is where you should head. Their headpieces are divine and the chest plate-style necklaces look like they could weigh down a horse.

Precious gems and coloured stones are this family-run company’s stock in trade. They sell all sorts of sparkling goodies, such as Pretty Woman-style necklaces, and painting-style quartz rock pendants.
Best for: A unique find, such as the chunky vintage-style bracelets in oxidized silver or to browse exquisites sets, such as the yellow diamond necklace fit for a queen.
Glitter

You don’t have to blow your budget when buying bling; just take a trip into Glitter and check out the Crislu collection of crystal rings and pendants. Those with money to burn however, should seek out Montblanc’s ‘Magic en blanc et noir’ jewellery collection, which consists of gleaming white freshwater pearls and black Tahitian pearls. A Montblanc necklace retails for around Dhs17,000 with matching earrings coming at Dhs9,000.
Best for: Costume jewellery and anyone with a big appetite for sparkle, without the bank balance to match.
