How Transform Health Retreats in Dubai encourage you to relax
Dubai-based entrepreneur Rose Adams regularly took time out of her fast-paced lifestyle to visit health retreats in Spain and Thailand, but she wanted something closer to home. So she launched Transform Health Retreats, which offers Dubai residents the chance to relax, exercise and rediscover healthy eating. Here, Rose tells us more about the venture.
What exactly are Transform Health Retreats? Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve your diet, rediscover fitness or simply recharge your batteries, the retreats will help you find a healthy life balance. You can choose four- or seven-day retreats, which are held every month at JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel.
What inspired you to launch the retreats in Dubai? I’ve been enjoying them for the past four years, but I always had to fly out of the UAE to find them. This meant losing almost two days to travel, not to mention the amount of money spent on flights. Dubai is such an amazing city and I love living here. However, it can become quite exhausting with the incredibly busy lives we all lead. A four-day break would give people the chance to reboot.
What can attendees expect? The retreat focuses on healthy eating, exercise, swimming, team activities, yoga classes, spa treatments and relaxation time. The idea is to leave the retreat looking and feeling fabulous. Average weight loss ranges between two and three kilograms, although previous retreaters have lost up to four kilograms in four days. We also provide tailored exercise and dietary plans for guests to take home with them.
Will guests go hungry? No. I’m a foodie and find purely juicing detoxes difficult. So I’ve opted for a very clean, healthy and balanced diet plan that will aid weight loss. Moreover, it will ensure that guests’ healthy lifestyles away from the retreat can be easily maintained, as it keeps targets realistic and achievable.
When can guests come? We have at least one retreat every month at the moment. Dates are listed on the website. We try to keep groups to around ten people to maintain a team environment.
And the cost? The retreats cost from Dhs3,000 for four days and rise to Dhs6,000 for seven days. This includes all meals, snacks, activities, tailored plans to take away and use of all of the hotel’s facilities. From Dhs3,000. For more information, visit www.transformhealthretreats.com.
