Time Out enlists the help of health experts in Dubai. This week we have five ways to reduce your sugar intake and subsequently lose weight
Time Out Dubai staff
1 Eat real food Ban everything “no fat” and “low fat” from your diet, as they are filled with processed ingredients and hidden sugars. Eat the real deal and you’ll crave less sugar, too.
2 Stop artificial sweeteners While sugar-free chocolate might be a quick fix, these artificial sweeteners are actually counterproductive as they’ll make you crave the real thing.
3 Eat more fats Healthy fats such as avocado and raw nuts slow down the release of sugar into your blood and keep you fuller for longer. Add them to your diet.
4 Buy unsweetened Check labels for “no added sugar” or “unsweetened” when buying nut butter and non-dairy milk products. 5 Eat more seaweed Studies have proven that eating more seaweed can help prevent sugar cravings due to its high chromium content. Even spirulina powder or chlorophyll can help.
