There was a long long long queue of people trying to make their way into the Mall of Emirates Metro station at 7pm last Sunday 21/9/2009. the queue was from the entrance of the mall, so was probably 100metres long or more and we notice the queue was hardly moving along...there is only 2 gates exiting the station and 1 gate going into this busy station...the authorities may want to consider to significantly increase the number of entry/exit gates into the Metro station, as is practised in HK and Singapore Metro....as for myself and a friend, we gave up queuing to get onto the Metro and went off to catch a cab...We will not give up our cars at the moment, but am hopeful that Dubai Metro improves in the near future...Another thing, are the train frequencies at 10 minute intervals? it's too long, should cut to 2-3 minute intervals.perhaps that explains the queue that hardly moves.

I'm really looking forward to my first journey which I plan to make after the initial rush has died down. However I won't be using it as much as hoped I would as the service finishes too early in the evening. Also the somewhat to be expected fine regarding transporting alcohol means our visitors arriving at the airport won't use the service also.

No suitcases or luggage accomodated?
Guess the airport route won't be as popular as initially envisaged...
