Time Out explores the best things to do in Emirates Towers station
THE EMIRATES TOWERS METRO STATION IN DUBAI IS NOT OPEN YET. KEEP CHECKING TIME OUT DUBAI FOR MORE DETAILS.
1 Shakespeare’s: This alcohol-free restaurant can be found at the back of Al Attar Business Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, and flows over into a charming outside area. Part of Shakespeare’s attraction is that it has all the attributes of a cool, snug café: battered sofas to loll in, books and magazines to browse and plenty of idiosyncratic touches. The food is generally good, too. 04 331 1757 Two minutes walking distance form the station
2 Jumeirah Emirates Towers: It’s not all cuffs and collars at Emirates Towers, with casual eateries such as Noodle House and lively bar/restaurants Scarlett’s and Harry Ghatto’s pulling in the party goers. However, if you’re after a more sophisticated evening, Al Nafoora is a fantastic upscale Lebanese restaurant, or head up to Vu’s on the 51st floor: its view of Dubai is as breathtaking as the prices. 04 330 0000 Three minutes walking distance from the station
3 Jumeirah Emirates TowersBoulevard: If you’ve got serious cash burning a hole in your pocket you’ll find plenty of ways to part with it here. Designer label boutiques – Gucci, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent – line the Boulevard, along with plenty of bling from Bulgari, Cartier and the obligatory Damas. Three minutes walking distance from the station
4 Rachal: A hair salon and beauticians for men and women that is popular among the Arabic contingent. In Al Durrah Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, Rachal offers a range of services from haircuts to manicures and pedicures. Men: 04 332 9066; women: 04 332 7720 Four minutes walking distance from the station
