3 Bin Sougat Centre: One of the biggest landmarks in the area, this shopping centre is a bit of a walk from the metro station, but it’s worth it. You’ll find all the big-name stores for fashion, plus a big Spinneys supermarket. Also worth checking out is well-known Indian restaurant Gazebo and Lebanese food chain Automatic, plus there’s Fun Corner to keep the kids busy.

5 Union Cooperative Society: The Co-op is usually crowded and families are often seen coming out with shopping carts full to the brim – but this must be a sign of good value? Sure enough, the grocery store is known for its cheaper price tags and promotions. There’s also a Damas jewellers shop next door if you do get the urge to splurge.
