Dubai has been named the no.1 city to spend New Year's Eve in, beating off competition from Rio, Chicago and other top locations
Are we the only ones already thinking about what on earth we’re doing for New Year’s Eve?
Halloween may only just be upon us, and we’re yet to tackle our Christmas shopping list. But if you want to beat the crowd, as far as we’re concerned there’s no better time to get planning NYE.
We may not be sure of the exact details yet, but one things for sure, we’re staying firmly put in Dubai. As if David Guetta and Martin Garrix’s big gigs at Media City Amphitheatre and Meydan are not enough to seal the deal, perhaps this will help you guys make up your minds.
The emirate has recently been named the number one location to spend December 31 in…in the world.
According to a poll done by Kayak.com, we trump the likes of Chicago, Barcelona, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro.
The top 10 doesn’t feature the likes of New York City, Sydney or London, which are big favourites around the globe. However it must be noted that the survey is based on trending searches for flights.
Since 2014, Dubai searches have increased by 70 per cent according to the website’s Travel Hacker Guide. It’s thought to be down to more affordable flights from cities around the world and of course the super fireworks show.
