Ahead of the Dubai International Motor Show, which is taking place in Dubai from Tuesday November 14 until Saturday 18, Ford has unveiled three brand-new models hitting the road in 2018.
One of the models being unveiled is returning, while two models of iconic Fords are making their regional debut.
“We are proud to present this strong line-up of Ford’s top three legendary nameplates,” said Thierry Sabbagh, Ford Middle East’s managing director. “These models have not only created their segments, but they continue to set the benchmark and reinforce our commitment to delivering what our customers here in the Middle East want.”
And Dubai is known for its fondness of big, high-performance cars, which is why the unveiling of the full size Ford Expedition, the legendary Mustang and the F-150 pickup truck are significant for the Dubai market.
The Ford Mustang is one of the world’s most iconic cars, and the 2018 model will see a host of improvements including new technology and design changes that give more customisable options and even better performance. A more powerful engine delivers 460 horsepower, and the chassis now comes with a wider range of paint colours, a variety of wheel choices and a new optional 12-inch customisable digital instrument cluster.
Meanwhile, the new F-150 is now tougher, smarter and more capable than ever, with the ability to deliver bigger payloads and tows than ever before. It’s been America’s best-selling truck for 40 consecutive years, and we all know that pickup trucks are wildly popular in the US.
Ford is calling the 2018 Expedition SUV the “smartest, most capable and most adaptable Expedition ever”, featuring seven drive modes, including a sand mode, paired with a two-speed transfer case with low gear range and a rear electronic limited-slip differential that offers excellent off road capability.
All of these cars are on show at the Dubai International Motor Show between November 14 and 18 at Dubai World Trade Centre, and you can register for the event here: www.dubaimotorshow.com
Meanwhile, over in Bahrain, Ford will be participating in the 6 Hours of Bahrain event on Friday November 17 and Saturday 18, where the spirit of Le Mans is coming to Bahrain.
Some of the most technologically advanced cars in the world are heading to the FIA World Endurance Championship event, where the 67 Ford GT will be strutting its stuff on the track.
