Ever dreamed of staying in a hotel built entirely of LEGO bricks? Well Dubai Parks And Resorts is set to offer you the next best thing after it announced LEGOLAND Hotel Dubai is going to open there.
The first of its type in the Middle East and only the seventh worldwide, the 250-room property will immerse you in the wonderful, blocky world of LEGO.
Each room will be themed and contain ready-made LEGO models meaning you won’t have to deal with your children’s floods of tears when you’ve had to drag them kicking and screaming away from the theme park itself when the gates have shut.
Apparently designers have been hard at work putting together themed storylines for every guest to enjoy so whether you want to be king of the Castle Play Area, or the dancing queen of the Disco Elevator, you can live out your LEGOLAND fantasy throughout your stay.
The joint venture between DXB Entertainments and Merlin Entertainments will be built on 300,000 square feet of land adjacent to the existing theme park and offers a somewhat alternative proposition to Dubai Parks And Resorts’ existing venue Lapita Hotel.
Merlin Entertainments’ John Jakobsen says: “Themed accommodation is an increasingly important part of the holiday and short-break visit, and we’re delighted to continue our partnership with DXB with the development of this hotel, which will allow families and children to continue their amazing LEGOLAND experience after the park closes.”
We’re still waiting for word on when the hotel will actually be opening, but if the other six across the globe are anything to go by, kids of all ages will be LEGOing crazy if you don’t take them there once the final brick is in place.
