But the fun doesn’t stop there. Throughout the week, from Tuesday onwards, there will be all sorts of joy-inducing entertainment in the park.
That includes a parade, clowns, face painting and more. Staff will also be surprising randomly-selected guests with yellow envelopes containing all sorts of prizes.
Gifts range from meal vouchers to Lego gift sets, park tickets and much more.
One lucky family will even receive Annual Passes to Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park. What more could you want?
Siegfried Boerst, general manager of Legoland Dubai, said: “There are many fun holidays throughout the year, but we especially enjoy Happiness Day as it is a chance to put even bigger smiles on the faces of all of our guests.
“At Legoland Water Park having fun and enabling families to create everlasting happy memories is at the core of all our experiences.
“We are excited for our guests to experience all of the awesome things we have in store for them, and we cannot wait for the ‘happy’ times ahead.”
There are loads of other celebrations going on in Dubai as part of the International Day of Happiness.
Dubai’s City Walk came alive with music and dance performances, with more than 2,000 people from 200 countries parading up and down the streets.
The parade will continue for the next few days from 4pm to 10pm, culminating on Tuesday March 20 with a wealth of activities and performances, which are free for everyone to participate in.
On the actual Day of Happiness, it’s all about the free stuff.
RTA officials will be giving out free taxi rides in Dubai to 100 lucky people at Dubai International Airport.
There will also be freebies for Nol card users who fancy a Metro trip instead.
That’s not all, as officials will also be handing out free trips to kayak at Hatta Dam lake, while a “happiness bus” will run to major destinations including La Mer and Global Village.
If that won’t put a spring in your step, the government is cutting the price of certain goods in supermarkets by up to 50 percent for a whole month.
Starting on Tuesday, it’s time to get those shopping bags ready and make space in that fridge for some incredible offers.
The price cut will cover more than 600 stores across the UAE. Happy days, indeed.
