The news was announced at a media launch of the venue this morning.
His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said: “The launch of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is yet another milestone in the emirate’s journey to further enrich its tourism offering, and help establish it as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.
“The park is another great addition to Yas Island’s immersive experiences and award-winning attractions.”
The park includes superb six immersive zones such as Dynamite Gulch, inspired by cartoon characters such as the Looney Tunes, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote.
The mega attraction will also feature Superman’s adopted home of Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Warner Bros. Plaza and Batman’s stomping ground of Gotham City.
Prehistoric fun will be on full display at Bedrock, home to Fred Flintstone, Wilma, Pebbles and their next-door neighbours Barney, Betty and Bamm-Bamm Rubble, as well as The Great Gazoo and loveable pet dinosaur, Dino.
Activities include the Flintstones Bedrock River Adventure, in which passengers can embark on a scenic boat ride through stone-age wetlands, prehistoric neighborhoods and the city’s picturesque downtown area.
While aboard the eight-passenger boat, guests will enter through boulder-strewn pathways, framed in oversized native palm trees and foliage, and pass by the occasional fountain or statue honoring one of the town’s leaders.
