Dubai will now be announcing its own public holiday dates The city could be getting different days off from the rest of the UAE By Darragh Murphy 29 April 2018 While we used to get news of public holidays from the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dubai will now be making its own.The Department of Human Resources will reveal the dates of the breaks following an official announcement.For example, holidays in the UAE are usually moved to the beginning or end of the week if they fall between two working days. The resolution was signed and issued on Tuesday April 24.State news agency WAM stated that the government department will specify the dates, and will be “taking into consideration the working mechanisms and hours of governmental bodies and organisations”.We currently have approximately seven public holidays left for the rest of the year.
