The works will create more acclimatised areas for the animals and new engagement programmes and interactive experiences during the visitor journey.
Visitors will be welcomed back on October 1 to check out the improvements – or you still have a few days to bid farewell to the animals if you so wish.
A Dubai Safari representative said: “In line with our commitment to offering a superior customer experience, the upgrades seek to provide a better habitat for our animals, and a more interactive and educational experience for our visitors."
"We are confident that our landmark destination will help attract even higher numbers of tourists to Dubai once it reopens after the summer.”
The safari is home to the most diverse array of animal species in the UAE and the Dhs1 billion project by Dubai Municipality is dedicated to animal welfare and conservation.
The park intends to provide a safe home to 5,000 animals by 2020 and is committed to contributing to global efforts to protect endangered species and ensure animal welfare through best practices and techniques anchored on expertise and scientific research.
We can’t wait to see the improvements. Dhs85 (adults, including safari), Dhs50 (adults, excluding safari), Dhs30 (kids, including safari), Dhs20 (kids, excluding). Closed May 15-Oct 1. Al Warqa 5, opposite Dragon Mart, www.dubaisafari.ae.
