Dubai Summer Surprises full list of events in the City
Free performances, workshops and activities across Dubai’s malls
Dubai Summer Surprises is in full swing, and there’s plenty to keep you entertained as well as bleed your bank account dry.
There will be a load of shows, events and attractions across Dubai’s malls as well as shows at Dubai Opera and The Laughter Factory until Saturday August 4.
Ibn Battuta Mall are putting on a host of interactive shows for kids this summer, including Bunny You Blew up the Carrots, a hilarious live show following Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck plus The Desert Adventure of Daffy Duck, which sees Daffy attempting to cross the desert.
You can also take a trip to the magical island of Neverland with a live Peter Pan show featuring Peter Pan and Tinkerbell embarking on a new adventure to save Neverland from the rusty clutches of Captain Hook.
Dragon Mart 2 is also getting involved with the frivolity, with interactive shows and fun workshops and Candy Land is challenging families to take part in a race amongst the rolling hills of life-sized candy until Saturday July 7.
There will also be a special Looney oh lympics starring Tweety, Sylvester and Julius ‘Sneezer’ taking place from Thursday July 19 to Saturday July 28. The famous characters will host regular interactive and educational shows and will also invite kids to take part in energetic dance routines.
And if that wasn’t all, Syrian music sensation and 2010 winner of Star Academy, Nassif Zeytoun will perform at a concert at Dragon Mart 2 on Friday 13 July at 7.30pm.
If you fancy learning a few new skills then head down to Dubai Festival City Mall from Thursday July 19, where you can take classes including flower arranging, making healthy juices, perfume making and make-up and hair tutorials.
There will even be a Lego Ninjago experience for visitors which will include interactive activities and meet and greet opportunities with much-loved characters such as Llyod and Master Wu.
The dedicated entertainment zone, which includes a puppet show, a theme park experience and an exclusive teaser of the Lego Ninjago 4D show, will take place between Thursday July 5 and 28 July From 2pm–10pm.
The mall will also play host to Bahraini singer Hala Al Turk in the evening on 4 August as part of Dubai Summer Surprises’ closing ceremony.

Shoppers at Dubai Mall can book this celebrity inspired makeup masterclass from 28 June until 4 August and will receive a small beauty gift after the makeover.
There’ll also be chances to win prizes throughout the festival and two lucky shoppers at Galeries Lafayette will win annual passes to LEGOLAND park and waterpark.
To be in with a chance of winning, spend Dhs950 in the mall and you will be entered into a raffle draw on Saturday August 4.
Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif also has a load going on for the kids across the festival including Paw Patrol live, an action-adventure preschool series starring a pack of six heroic puppies led by a tech-savvy ten year old boy named Ryder.
The patrol will be crusading around Mall of the Emirates from Thursday July 12 until Thursday July 19 before heading to City Centre Mirdif from Monday July 23 until Wednesday August 1.
Footie fans should make haste to City Centre Deira for The Football Fever, which includes fun-filled football activations where shoppers can be in with a chance of winning prizes.
Football enthusiasts must spend Dhs300 in the mall to enter a series of fun football-focused games such as The Striker, The Longest Goal and The Fan Booth. We reckon we can easily put Ronaldo to shame.
There will also be fun times to be had at Dubai Opera who will host The Definitive Rat Pack tonight (Tuesday July 3) and tomorrow night, as well as American singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega who will be performing on Thursday July 5.
Last but not least, The Laughter Factory will be hitting Dubai’s hotels this summer with its Summer of Laughter tour from June to September.
