Along with that, Meraas will also be setting up a "first-of-its kind trailers hotel" concept, for travellers who want to camp along the banks of the Hatta dams.
An adventure centre and interactive tourism information hub will also open, all in order to boost eco-tourism in the Hatta region.
It will also include putting up a Hollywood-esque sign, 450 metres up in the Hajar Mountains, so it can get the proper recognition the landscape deserves.
Group chairman at Meraas Abdulla Al Habbai said: “We have worked to establish effective partnerships between Meraas and the people of Hatta in order to ensure projects meet the aspirations of present and future generations.
"The area is equipped to receive more visitors to historical, social and cultural heritage sites, as well as indulge in a distinctive shopping experience of handicrafts and agriculture products and enjoy authentic Emirati cuisine in Hatta.”
It’s all part of a ten-year Hatta Comprehensive Development Plan aimed at boosting the tourism and “advancing the social and economic development of the area,” according to Meraas.
As for the second stage, Meraas has announced further projects comprising a variety of additional hospitality and retail developments.
While we eagerly wait for it all to open, check out our guide to the Hatta Pools and other wadis.
The last quarter of this year couldn’t come soon enough.
