If you drive along Airport Road towards the Emirates Road interchange, you’ll have no doubt missed a small but perfectly formed piece of grass on your right-hand side, Al Rashadiya Park. If you’re born female, the park is well worth a visit for two reasons. The first is that it has the softest grass of any patch of green in the city (as judged by Time Out’s ultra-scientific barefoot test). The second is that its status as a predominantly ladies-only park means you can grab some rays sans ogle. Families are deemed worthy of entrance at the weekend (Thursday and Friday are Al Rashadiya’s busiest days).
