Safa Park
One of the oldest and largest green spaces in Dubai Discuss this article
Safa Park is one of the oldest and largest green spaces in Dubai, lending it an organic feel that is hard to find in many of the newer areas of town. If you’re sick of sand and long for the green, green grass of home, visit these lush rolling lawns and we guarantee you’ll be surprised by how enjoyable an afternoon in the park can be. Why? Well, if you’re on foot it takes a good couple of hours to explore all the nooks, crannies and eccentricities of the park.
There’s a lake with small boats to traverse across on, a canal, waterfall and a random hill with shaded trees. Then there’s the train that snakes around the gardens, four-seater bicycles to hire, a children’s amusement park, a café selling decent snack food, and a range of sports facilities that will make you wonder why you bother with gym membership fees. It all makes for a delightful day in the sun.
