World's 'biggest photography exhibition' coming to Dubai HIPA's The Global Perspective on Photography exhibition will be in Dubai March 2016 By Leah Simpson 08 December 2015 The world's "biggest photography exhibition" is coming to Dubai.The Global Perspective on Photography exhibition – showcases works from 25 different countries.Taking place at the Dubai Design District from March 16-19, the event will include more than 700 images from professional snappers around the globe. We need to nurture this," HIPA’s secretary, Ali Bin Thalith said."Through this exhibition we want to introduce the appreciation of photography as an art. We also want to put Dubai’s photography scene on the world map." He added that the UAE’s Al Awadh is a great representation for the region for HIPA which has been going for four years and gives away Dhs1.46million in prize money. Those taking part – professional or amateur - can receive anything from Dhs22,000 to Dhs440,000."He is known in the region as one of the best photographers," Bin Thalith continued. "He was also my teacher back in 1995. He is one of the best."Before the end of December, contributors have to enter pictures under categories such as Happiness, Wildlife, General, plus Father and Son.
