It’s the sort of place you’d be surprised to find in the heart of Dubai’s suave financial area, while somehow also being exactly the sort of place you would expect to find there.
First impressions are that it’s cosy and casual. Inside is small and dimly lit, with décor that’s all rough woods, metals, red leather and artsy collage prints covering walls. A place where you can casually hang out, chat to the bartender and try some craft hops.
Outside, however, it’s sleek and classy, surrounded by rippling water features and shiny DIFC buildings that tower over you. Perfect for long, lazy evenings over a glass of grape. The food, too, is more bistro than pub grub.
It’s usually bustling with DIFC’s after-work crowd, and thanks to its Friday party brunch, weekends get particularly lively. Or head down on a Monday night for top-notch ’80s and ’90s tunes. Dusty’s also feels like a friendly place. Staff recognise and chat to regulars and make an effort to get to know new faces.
Whether you work in DIFC or not, once you’ve come here once you’ll definitely be returning. The bottom line A bar that will feel like your local.
