Nice place, very good music. Dj is playing so well. But the problem is it is never getting crowded. I do not understand.

Thanks for your post Anna. I look after the marketing and entertainments at Hive and can assure you that your valid comments have prompted a full review of the situation last weekend.

The bar was reaching capacity with all the tables booked and because the head of security could not offer a safe place for the wheelchair-bound customer to enjoy such a busy night he decided, rightly or wrongly, to refuse entry to the man. He acted for the safety of the both the venue and customers, though his decision has obvious moral implications.

It has prompted the directors at Hive to take the initiative and ensure that this never happens again by prioritising a table for those with disabilities, with waiter service and close the disabled washrooms of Souk Al Bahar.

We hope that the man returns to enjoy a drink with us anytime he chooses, and that you too feel that you can return. We apologise for any upset this unfortunate incident may have caused, but good has come out of it.

We cannot realistically accept that Dubai is going to move onwards and upwards if we have people fronting bars in the same manner in which Hive managers do. I used to work in the City ..and currently work in the DIFC. To see the bouncers REFUSE ENTRY to a respectable man in a wheelchair is, frankly, disgusting. Revolting. Embarassing.

HIVE BAR. Sort yourselves out. I am spreading the bad word about you and your managment non-stop, until I see an apology. Shame on you.

i love Hive ! me and my girls are always their, they the best cocktails and staff in Dubai, and try the mini burgers !! soooo amazing !

Best bar/restaurant in the area, friendly staff, speedy service, great food & music with a well stocked bar and lively patio area.
