Level 43 Sky Lounge
Casual Downtown open-air bar is a welcome addition to Dubai’s rooftop scene
With views of Dubai’s most iconic monuments such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Palm, The Dubai Mall and the Jumeirah coastline, the venue is a chic spot in which to enjoy drinks and a relaxed environment. Offering sundowners, high tea and sociable sharing dining options, guests can indule in drinks and snacks in one of the comfy chairs on the terrace.
The outlet offers both indoor dining seating as well as outdoor lounge seats. Designed as a contemporary sanctuary high above the city, Level 43’s industrial interiors create a laid-back setting. With three distinct spaces – the private dining room, terrace and bar, there is something to meet all tastes. On our visit we were greeted by friendly staff who suggested sitting outdoors on the terrace by candlelight to catch a glimpse of the DJ at work.
While the bar has a relaxed atmosphere, it’s best to look presentable to ensure entry. The resident DJ played a mix of chilled out, electro beats, which seemed to be welcomed by the trendy crowd. While you can have a boogie, there is no real dance area – it seems to be more of a wind-down venue. The bar doesn’t offer the best views of some of Dubai’s architecture in comparison to other sky-high venues, but it certainly has a welcoming charm about it.
The menu offers an array of classic mixed drinks with a choice of five signature mixed drinks. We opted for an old favourite with sparkling grape and peach flavour syrup, which was refreshing and sweet. However, one of the drinks in particular was a little strong for our liking, so perhaps it’s best to be mindful when ordering and ask the barman to go easy on the measurements. The signature drinks were aerial-themed, such as the Skyline, Sun Liss and Level 43, which fits in nicely with the rooftop vibe.
Although the venue is fairly understated and a place to kick back and relax, it does make for a nice pitstop if you’re in the Downtown area. It was slightly humid on our visit, so perhaps it would be wise to take a seat indoors until the venue picks up a light breeze. Level 43 is by no means a swinging, bustling party venue, but it can get pretty lively when groups of friends get together. Level 43 Sky Lounge

The view from above is breathtaking and the staff is very welcoming and lovely and willing to do their best to help.
We stepped in at around 12:30AM and were surprised that it was almost empty on a Friday. You would have been expecting a full-house especially with the long weekend. The music was terrific giving in to the relaxing atmosphere. The weather was magnificent. Although the heating lamps setup as warm the ambiance a bit (since this time of year, its pretty cold for a normal Dubai weather) were set too high.
Only drawback it actually closes down at 2AM...

The view is breathtaking. When you get out to the roof top terrace the only thing you pay attention at is the view. We came with the child around 23:00 pm, the bar was almost empty and we were asked to leave it as we were with the child. it dissapoints greatly.
