Time Out visits the outdoor/indoor pool bar
Time Out Dubai’s winning party brunch involves eating and dancing. Dhs325 (house beverages), Dhs375 (sparkling grape).

They have rude staffs and customer service is very poor which you will see right from the entrance. They call it XL but the place is S - small. They call it beach club but funny- there is no beach in this club but a small swimming pool! They try to lure the ladies to come to their “beach” club by offering 3 free drinks and strawberries and the result – most girls going there are jobless or those who do not want to spend money on drinks! It’s just disgusting and pretentious place. It’s almost empty the last time we were there.

I went to XL for the first time in the day which was nice, gd friendly staff.. Nice deep house vibes and decent pint... Then tonight i visited and it seemed like a totally different place. Ok the tent has gone up and ok they play the euro's like everywhere else.... But the music was shocking, place was half empty and it sounded like some 1 was playing through a laptop in the bottom of the craned canyon..... Totally killed my buzz of the place which i gained from the first visit. Why is it called xl beach "Club" When it is a sports bar with a party dj who is playing radio hits pressing play and pause... I don't usually write reviews unless i am very impressed or very disappointed... Oh and the main reason was the reaction of staff when it shut.. basically was told its shut get out.. But hey i will visit back when the tent has gone and see if its as gd as first..

I went to the brunch on Friday and was disappointed. The service was very slow. I got a grand total of 3 drinks in 3 hours. The food was ok but nothing special. You could get the same for 40 - 50 dhs at any decent cafe. This brunch is worth about 120 dhs maximum. No way can they justify 350 dhs, it is simply a rip off. They need to double the number of waiting staff for a start.
