Sports bar with lots of screens and pool tables 1 Reviews
If you’re the sort of person who dreams of being surrounded by LCD screens beaming sport at you from every angle, this is the bar for you. If you’re not, they may prove a little too distracting to bear, as even the compact dining booths have screens mounted on the wall – who said you needed to stay at home to have a TV dinner?
Despite a heavy population of these markers of modern technology, the bar’s overall appearance is strangely retro; something we’d wager was not the management’s intention. You’re in no danger of bumping into Carrie Bradshaw here. Nevertheless, for those inclined to behave more sociably in public, all the provisions are in place for a good game of pool, and there plenty of tables relatively hidden from the glare of the latest test match.
The snack options are mostly to be avoided if you’re watching your cholesterol levels, but the drinks are reasonably priced, even if there’s only one choice of grape by the glass. Though the staff seemed a little fed-up on our trip, we could hardly blame them given the loud, yeast-addled ramblings of some of the bleary-eyed punters draped over the bar.
