British boozer meets Mediterranean taverna in Jumeirah 2 Reviews

Hidden away in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, this modestly-sized British pub is a great venue for sports enthusiasts. There’s a sizeable outdoor screen set up on the terrace for watching the games and, if you’re feeling peckish, the pub grub is worth your dirhams.

for a hotel of this standard the food does not get my 5 star rating. For my starter i had the goats cheese croquette 65aed, very small indeed and hidden by a forest of lettuce, garnish was some melon and beetroot slices with holes cut in them. very unimaginative. for the main i had the cottage pie 80aed, bland, tasteless and boring. garnished with shrivelled peas and frozen onion rings. I expected better from this hotel. for 2 beers and 2 courses it was not worth the 225aed bill, i can eat for cheaper and better in some of dubai's 4 star hotel bars.
