Yes, it’s almost impossible to get a table on a Thursday, and yes, the drinks are a little on the pricey side, but there’s always a great crowd at this popular Downtown haunt, which makes it perfect for unpretentious fun.

The 5 for 5 ladies night offer is the cheekiest scheme I have ever encountered in a bar.
Unlike other bars, men aren't allowed to even touch or sip the drinks bought on promotion and if caught, are charged twice the full price.

The manager absolutely loves being a jackass and walking around with his bail of fine money and has no care in the world for customer satisfaction.

We had a great time and had a nice dinner in the restaurant side. Good selection of food and attentive service. The only downside about this place is that it's full of smoke which is very unpleasant when eating. They should at least make the restaurant area non-smoking.

A group of our friends were there on 14/07/2011, spent 1700 AED and was charged twice on my husband's Debit Card. We found out 4 days after when my husband checked his bank. Dealing with the bank is another story but when we went back to LEFT BANK the same day we discovered this mistake, the first thing we were asked by the manager was for our Bank statement. and since we don't have that, there was no other way he can help us and there is no other way to discover or find out how come they charged us twice as much. I was surprised to hear Left Bank not taking responsibility of their mistake charging us 1700AED twice. And even if we have the statement, we have to wait minimum 10 days for them to confirm if they did charge us twice and if and when they can send the money back. The choice we have left is chase their Accounting Department and the bank as well.

Also to highlight that we saw that they have TimeOut award displayed and pointed out that we don't think they will have that again. The Manager's reply was "That's OK.'

i really enjoyed my two nights visiting the bar, during a weeks holiday from the UK . The service was excellent, good atmosphere and the music was wonderful. Well it would be my son is the DJ. Thanks to all for making me welcome.

Left Bank Souk Al Bahar is THE example of how to do a bar well, and is the best bar in Dubai.

Fantastic service, good drinks, good bar snacks, well designed.

I love this place. I go here fairly often and would highly recommend it to anyone.

LKP - to be fair, you've even mentioned it in your comment. The promotion is from 6-8pm. So, if you ordered at 8.10pm, the promotion has finished... so why would you get the promo price? Should have ordered when you were asked at 7.55pm...

My husband and I discovered Left Bank about couple of months ago and have been going there 2 to 3 times a week since. We really like the ambiance, the music and the daily promotions. However, we will never go back to this establishment after what happened last night. We arrived at the bar around 7 pm and ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of their promotion which is between 6 - 8 pm. Around 7:55 pm the barmaid came by and asked if we would like another bottle, last call, where we declined. Around 8:10 we decided to stay and asked the barmaid if we could have another bottle at the promotional price since it was only ten minutes after 8 pm and she said "no". My husband decided to ask the bar manager for the same request and his answer was also "no". The bar manager replied by saying he did not care whether we never come back to his bar. It is unbelievable when Dubai bars are scrambling to fill it's bars with customers when most of the bars are empty most of the nights that he is turning customers away, especially loyal customers.
