Koubba in Arabic doesn't mean "tomb" as u described, but it means a "Dome" . The style n architecture is the one of a Dome!

My wife and I travel from Miami, Florida each year Mid-June through Mid-July and always stay at Al Qasr and each night we have drinks at Koubba. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff professional and pleasant and it is an excellent place to enjoy pre-dinner, post-dinner or late night. I enjoy smoking my favorite cuban cigar here while enjoying the live music. Koubba is a must in Dubai.
