From Time Out Dubai City Guide 2007

As British as launching complaint after complaint about the weather while bemoaning the lack of buses, Double Decker is unashamedly patriotic. From the grandiose coats of armour adorning the walls to the hordes of sunburnt Brits parading around, it's a home away from home for the expat crowd. It might not harbour the most adventurous atmosphere but with excellent service and a foot-tappingly good resident DJ, it's a frequently packed pub.

I am very glad to have gone to the Friday brunch just so as I can tell everyone to NEVER GO TO THIS BAR. The British manager on the door was extremley rude after we complained about everybody having to que for 20 minutes to get in in the midday sun , the tables and chairs were crammed in, it had the feel of a cheap wedding reception down the local, with the furniture to match.They only gave us 12 chairs when we had booked 16. The service was shockingly bad, the food was average at best, the selection, sparse. The "patrons" seemed to be there for one thing only, to drink as many shots as possible in 4 hours. The girls in our group told us that there were "ladies" fighting over toilet paper in the bathroom. Outside there were 2 girls and one young lad throwing up. I was shocked and appauled that such establishments exsist in Dubai especially in such a well know hotel chain. Rotana. I cannot tell you, readers, how disgusted my friends and I were about the whole thing.STAY AWAY.

One of the few places in Dubai with a unique layout, but works to perfection for the Dubai scene.

With great live music, amazing staff, there's no hesitation why I have made it my new local.

Brunches every Friday: AED160 for all you can eat and drink, to this day i still have not have a bad night!

Definitely a great night/day out!

Amazin pub, great service, i just love the place
They also have new things going on which is outstanding.
Every one should go there, and who ever said that they won't go there again, WELL, they loose

Double Decker was always a regular 'drop-in-and-party' place of ours for well over 2 years since it's opening but in recent times (unfortunately) it seems the party has moved elsewhere.

The DJ and music was ok and although playing alot of 'oldies' it would have been refreshing to hear something new and popular aswell during our visit.

The food and service is still good and if you're looking for a Friday Brunch venue, Double Decker is still up there with the best of them on value for money.
