You’d be forgiven for being a bit confused by the thought of another bar at Chi. For a start, where is it? Well, for anyone that knows the legendary club, it’s the old Chi Red room, which has been transformed into a standalone bar, accessible only from the front entrance of Chi.

Moving away from the club’s mainstream roots, the saloon-style bar channels some serious Wild West (they say British, although we’re not so sure), with dark flagstones, wooden tables and plenty of diner-style seating for groups. You’d never have guessed this was part of Chi if you hadn’t experienced pogo-ing around to some indie classics in the same space. This is a spit n’ sawdust pub, Dubai style.

In keeping with this new harder exterior, the pub plays host to a range of rock and metal covers bands, and has also become the new home of live music night Metal Asylum, whose local and regional acts have various degrees of success in tempting hungry punters away from their burgers and pints.
