From Time Out Dubai City Guide 2007

Long’s is one of those places ruddy-faced expats refer to, with a crinkly grin, as being a ‘Dubai institution’. Certainly, some of the punters here could do with being removed to a facility of some sort, but the reason it’s such a longstanding favourite is because it’s a fairly authentic reproduction of a spit ‘n’ sawdust British pub. Expect TV football, good value drinks and predictable if tasty food.

Thank You City Card for including very popular pubs like the Double Decker & Nelsons in 2 Rotana properties!
I wonder now, what's stopping you from including another 2 super-popular bars in another 2 Rotana hotels is Dubai, viz: The Longs Bar in Towers Rotana and Boston Bar in Jumeirah Rotana?
Wouldn't mind saving a few bucks on drinks, if I could.

Never go back to this bar, me and my friends spoil our night for unprofessionalism behaviour...i don't know if the management knows about it..security strictly will not allowed to let us enter because it is all for reservation..this is the new policy ? we usually go in this bar for past 5 years and we don't have a problem but now for this new policy you will lost your customer..we highly recommended ELEGANTE....a superb place to chill out with friends ..

With the promotional offers it is no wonder that it is completely full with all seats taken and with some standing. Women come in droves as the promotions are mostly aimed at them and the men folk, no doubt will be only too happy to oblige to come along. Lively atmosphere. Good if you have company.

i have been going to this bar for the past 3 years. i looved everything about it . one day i go there and they refuse me to get in since "i had an issue last time i was there!" i asked the black bouncer what i did and he said i know what i did which left me confused! i had to ask for the manager but he said they were busy. i have not been to many clubs and i only knew this one, stranded in the night, i had to go to boudoir, in dubai marine hotel. i still had a soft spot for longs bar so i went there again. to know what i had done wrong.. had a argument with the bouncer who was inside, and the manager said he had no idea what i did but was told to stop me from going in. i asked the manager what it was about and she said she had no idea as well. i was so upset that this was all for nothing and were stoping loyal clubbers for no REASON! i gave her a piece of my mind and left. my family liked the place but i fear they wont let me in. still, for no reason. ihave never fought or had an argument with anybody. if they gave me a reason then it could have been ok, but this was just ridiculous. that was my experience.

I love Longs bar the place is never the same twice. As a frequent visitor to Dubai the place is buzzing the foods good the swtaff very attentive,for drinks and food, there is also a loyalty programme SO long may it stay.
