Although it remains one of Madinat Jumeirah’s least celebrated bars, Bahri Bar is undoubtedly one of its best.

A stunningly attractive wraparound terrace provides perfect views of the Burj — best seen during its chameleon-like light show at night — and overlooks a fine stretch of sea and sand.

As such it’s the perfect place for a sundowner, while a light-bite menu lists some tantalising treats. Blissful.

I used to go to Bahri bar all the time during my time in Dubai; fantastic live music, great selection of alcohol and some of the best views of Burj al Arab at night. I still dream of this place......
