Accorded a minute piece of turf opposite Andiamo!, Vinoteca’s a pretty, stone-flagged space with a lovely bar and lots of heavy garden furniture circled round a miniature fountain. The cheerful barman has a great rack, filled with uplit bottles on gleaming brackets, and is happy to dole out wine advice to all and sundry. We can fulsomely recommend a glass or two of pinot grigio ‘maso lamm’ or a balloon of chianto classico Villa Antinori, the ideal companions to a bit of chilled out chat before the main event.
