The promise We opt for a classic cut and blow-dry to get rid of dead-ends, freshen up our layers and then have our hair styled into natural waves.
Step by step We are shown into the salon and offered a coffee (make sure you try the cinnamon honey latte), which is brought to us from The Loft’s café, next door. After a quick consultation, we’re given a very thorough hair wash followed by a trim that’s surprisingly speedy for the quality of the outcome. Hairdressers here are clearly all very experienced and very good. We ask for our blow-dry to be natural waves, rather than sleek and straight, and we’re pleased to find that this is the end result (far too often have we ended up with Bo Peep corkscrew curls).
The result Our hair is shiny, soft and in perfect condition. The cut is flattering and it has been styled exactly as we requested.
Pros The café next door serves fantastic coffee and staff will bring it to you in the salon. Hairdressers are all efficient, professional and skilled, and they really listen to and carry out your requests.
Cons The salon space is quite small, so you’re sitting quite close to other customers. Dhs180 (haircut)The Loft Fifth Avenue
