Ted Morgan salon brings a new standard of hairdressing to Dubai and the Palm Jumeirah. A simple, clean and stylish salon with a buzzy atmosphere filled with the chit-chat of regular customers and the salon’s young team of professional stylists. I was directed to my comfortable leather chair and given a cappuccino before my stylist grilled me on my hair habits and what I was looking to achieve. I’ve been a serial hair dyer for most of my life, and living in the extreme Dubai environment has wreaked havoc with my locks, making them dry and in need of a good cut.
Rain, my stylist advised a deep conditioning treatment which took twenty minutes or so helped along with a relaxing head massage. She warned my hair wouldn’t initially be soft because the product works from the inside out, but the cut made it feel and look 100% brand new and healthy. All in all, a productive day in a salon I’d happily recommend to friends.

I used to love this place but it just went downhill for the past year.
During my last appointment (which cost me over 1200 AED) I asked a hairdresser just to trim the ends, cut my fringe and do a full head highlights. I ended up with over 7 cm of my hair length gone (trimming eh?), poorly cut fringe (which I had to re-cut myself at home as it was not evenly cut on the sides) and far from being nicely made highlights.
Just a tip to the management: if you would like people to return, it won’t be a bad idea to actually take in to consideration customer’s wishes instead of turning the visit in to an art project!

I had a very bad experience at Ted Morgan Salon and now have a bob with one side longer than the other. After reading many great reviews of the salon and of Elaine, my hair stylist I made an appointment. I arrived at 1:00pm for my color and then my cut was scheduled after. The color took about 1 ½ hours which was expected but before I went to wash the color out I was told that my stylist was running behind and it would be a bit of a wait. While I was waiting the girl washing my hair gave an extended head massage, which was the best part of the entire appointment! After my hair was washed I continued to wait for another 30 mins. This is now 2 ½ hours into my appointment. Finally, Elaine comes over to cut my hair. She took all of 10 minutes and only trimmed the bottom of the cut. She didn’t cut into any of the layers which I asked her to do before I left.
When I got home I inspected the cut closer and realized there were 2 long piecing hanging from one side…way longer than the rest of the cut. So I took scissors and just cut those off…very odd. The next day after I washed and styled my hair I realized that one side of the bob is ½ inch longer than the other side. Thinking maybe it’s all in my head and it’s not as noticeable as I think it might be I asked my husband later what he thought. He immediately pointed it out that one side was longer.
I’ll just have to wait till I go back to the states on Friday to get it fixed. Fool me once with a 750 AED appointment, that’s on you but I’ll never be fooled again...

I was very dissatisfied despite describing exactly what I wanted done to my hair, the stylist failed miserably, then attempted to rectify and failed again. I will personally never go again. I had my hair spoiled and paid 275 aed for the pleasure (not)
