New bootcamps, dance classes, a healthy new drink and more
Already planning your summer escape for 2013? Dubai lifestyle coach Kaya Peters will be hosting a series of eight and 12-day retreats in Portugal for Dubai residents. The programmes will include yoga classes, healthy meals, sustainable weight-loss coaching, spa treatments and outdoor activities to help you get back to nature. Read more at kayapeters.com.
Back in the UAE, a new beauty drink called Ocóo will soon be available at Zuma and Galeries Lafayette, and at ocoobeauty.com. The fruity drink claims to have anti-ageing properties, and can apparently improve skin, hair and collagen production.
For fans of dance fitness classes, there will soon be another option available in the city. At the end of May, Crowne Plaza Dubai will launch jazzercise classes, which combine jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing for an intense cardio workout. The first class will be free for all. To find out more, contact the fitness centre (04 305 6600).
If you fancy a workout of a less sweaty variety, Dubai’s SO Famous in Media City is set to launch a beauty and fashion bootcamp, starting from Monday April 15 and running for a month. Twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, those who sign up will spend two hours being educated by professionals on hair-styling, make-up, fashion styling, posing for photoshoots and either catwalk or basic social etiquette with an expert trainer. All yours for just Dhs1,800. (www.so-famous.com, 04 451 9160).
Until next time, happy bootcamping and holiday booking, and namaste.
