Eco-friendly beauty and more new spa products in Dubai
This week: eco-friendly beauty boxes, cellulite-busting shapewear and new product launches in Dubai.
Setting the bar high for other Dubai-based beauty companies, new Aussie-owned local subscription-based upstart Zanedo (zanedo.com) has just unveiled its eco-friendly beauty boxes designed from recycled kraft paper. The company delivers monthly sample-stacked packages to its members, meaning consumers have the option of trialling products before they commit to the real deal. We’re digging the limited edition box, which includes the collagen-based Klapp Eye Care Rejuvenator and eyelash-pumping serum Lilash. The box is worth Dhs899, but new and existing members can get their hands on it for only Dhs259.
Think you’ve exhausted all avenues in the search for cellulite-free thighs? Intimates label K-Lynn (04 294 3060) is now stocking a cool new shapewear product, which uses caffeine, vitamin A and aloe vera to help tone the skin and reshape the body. Wacoal’s Beauty Secret Slim collection contains microcapsules with active ingredients which are released by the movement of the garment on the skin. Apparently results are visible after just 28 days. Go forth and bust that cellulite. Lastly, international nail brand CND is launching a new product worldwide during Beautyworld ME 2013, which takes place in Dubai from Tuesday May 28 to Thursday May 30. The long-lasting, high-gloss Vinylux ‘weekly nail polish’ gets more durable with exposure to natural light and is an alternative to Gellish and Shellac, which both involve exposure to harmful UV lights. The nail polish will be available at Momentum Beauty Products (04 334 3823) from Tuesday May 28. Namaste.
