Dubai International Dance Festival and a visit from Deepak Chopra
Time Out Dubai staff
You barely have time to blink and a new yoga studio, dance class or wellbeing retreat has joined the city’s ever expanding portfolio of health-related ventures. Dubai is renowned for its work hard, pamper-hard mentality and the last few months has seen an increase in the number of local yoga and detox retreats, as well as unusual locations for classes. We’ve also become accustomed to the novelty of fast beauty, with at least two blow-dry bars expected launch in the next six months.
Deepak Chopra – The Future of Wellbeing On Tuesday September 17, the famous author, physician and practitioner of ayurvedic medicine is giving a talk at Madinat Arena (04 366 2288) on how to heal. The softly spoken orator will give advice and tips on how to transform your state of mind and allow yourself to heal to help bring about happiness and enlightenment. Chopra has penned more than 70 books and is an advisor to the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. Buy tickets from www.ticketmaster.ae from Dhs150.
