A fancy new hair brush, skincare sins to avoid and early Valentine's deals
Time Out staff
This week we check out a fancy new hair brush, get tips on preventing skincare sins and look ahead to Valentine’s Day.
Apparently any old hair brush won’t do – and the Tangle Angel (pictured) in Dubai is the latest ‘next generation’ tresses-tamer to hit the market. Created by Richard Ward Salon, which is described as the salon of choice for London ‘It’ girls such as Pippa Middleton and the Duchess of Cambridge, the brush boasts soft bristles, anti-static and antibacterial properties, and is heat resistant, so you can use it when drying or straightening. Choose from Tangle Angel Cherub, Pet Angel and Shine Angel. The brush is available from Pastels Salons (www.pastels-salon.com) priced from Dhs95.
Made a resolution to take better care of your skin this year? Herbline Essentials might be able to help – the brand has got some great products to help you tackle your skincare sins, such as sleeping in your make-up (try the Dhs99 aloe vera and honey cleansing milk – a double whammy cleanser and moisturiser to keep that evening clean quick) and not maintaining a regular routine (try the Dhs105 cucumber and rose skin tonic, which soothes and tones to leave skin and is great after shaving or waxing, too). Both are available online from www.herbline-essentials.com.
Finally, got Valentine’s Day on the brain already? There are heaps of great spa deals coming up. Check out the Cupid’s Chocolate Body Ritual at Club Olympus in the Hyatt Regency (04 317 2223) – 110 minutes of relaxation for Dhs1,000 per couple or Dhs600 per person.
