Let’s dance. No really, lets. It’s time to shape up and learn something new, but where?
Adult’s ballet: Hard day at the office? Looking for a way to relax that doesn’t involve an all-you-can-eat deal? Then a bit of ballet could be for you. You don’t need to have any experience as there are classes for beginners and it’s a great way to meet people while getting fit.
Belly dancing: Don’t worry, there’s no need to go flat out and buy a costume. Just turn up in something comfortable and prepare to learn some Arabic moves. This ones not just great exercise, it should also help you to look a bit better on the dance floor. Think Shakira, and you’re on your way.
Flamenco: Always fancied yourself as a bit of a Spanish senorita? Well, why not, we’ve all got it in us. Some to a lesser extent than others, granted, but it’s fun to learn. An excellent way to keep fit without realizing it.
Kundalini yoga: Think yoga, crossed with medication. It’s not exactly a dance class, more a series of flowing movements, but it prepares your limbs to be more flexible as well as sending you on your way to a dancer’s body.
Power bhangra: Are you ready for a full-on dance workout? This one’s pretty intense but it’ll have you fit in no time, with a selection of pretty impressive moves under your belt.
Tap dancing for beginners: Fancy yourself as a bit of Fred Astaire. Yup, us too. Strap on your tap shoes and head on down to learn your tap-shaped trade at this Dubai class. It’s a lot more of a workout than you might thing but it’s so much fun you’ll hardly notice.
Salsa: This is salsa with a difference, Cuban salsa to be precise. The organizers describe it as a passionate, fun, and sociable experience. That’s good enough for us, where do we sign?
Jazz for kids: Have you got a little one with a passion for dance? Sign them up here for jazz, ballet, and tap. They’ll love it, and it’s good exercise too so it’s a win-win.
Dance, movement and mime: This is another great class to try for kids, especially really little ones as you can sign them up from aged three onwards. Classes involve a bit of everything so not ideal if you’re budding young star wants to focus on one thing, but ideal for a bit of fun.
Irish dance: Fancy looking like a bit of an expert next time you hit the Irish Village on Paddy’s Day? Then sign up for a spot of Irish Dancing and master some Celtic moves to impress your friend with.
