The tower itself is made from 30,000 gingerbread panels, baked using 180kg of flour, 1,600kg of icing sugar, 216 litres of honey and 23kg of ginger powder. Head chef at Address Dubai Marina, Avinash Mohan, worked with six engineering professionals to strategise the construction of the replica, taking 432 hours to build, from constructing the first panel until topping out.
