Getthat.com arrival marks challenge to Dubizzle’s classified ad dominance.

A new classified ads site has launched, seeking to usurp Dubizzle in the market. Getthat.com promises everything you could possibly need, from a new car to sofas, houses or even jobs.
Launched by Gulf News, Getthat.com claims to benefit from substantial backing and reach to a significant audience. With Gulf News reaching millions of users every month, it remains to be seen whether or not the new site can gain the necessary traction with users in order to become the default place to look for that new coffee table or to flog your telly.
While the site only officially launched on Sunday April 2, there are already plenty of listings going up at a decent pace. Already you can find musical instruments, bookshelves, beds, literature, apartments for rent across Dubai, nearly 2,000 jobs and more than 700 cars – at the time of writing.
The site might require a little bit of tweaking in the early days after launch, but the site is still in beta mode, meaning functionality may change rather quickly. The launch of a companion app, however, will most likely be the core deciding factor in Getthat.com’s success. While the site is still in beta, it might be a while before we see the app arrive.
