Dubai International Airport hosts Evita performance Classic musical in one-off performance at DXB Terminal 3
Did you pass through DXB Terminal 3 on Thursday January 25? If so, you may have been treated to a rare piece of live musical theatre on your way to greet a loved one at the arrivals lounge.
Andrew Lloyd-Weber’s legendary musical Evita came to Dubai with an extended run of shows at Dubai Opera through late January and early February, and to celebrate the occasion musicDXB (DXB’s ongoing concert series, launched in November 2015) hosted a special one-off concert in T3 Arrivals.
Performed on the day were two of the show’s most iconic songs – Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, and High Flying, Adored. It is the second time musicDXB and Dubai Opera have collaborated with a live performance, following a spectacular turn from the stars of CATS back in January last year, while the show was in town.
If you happened to miss it, fear not, more live shows are planned through the rest of 2018 as musicDXB continues to bring first-class performances from one of the world's top theatre and entertainment destinations.
