Check out the limited-edition menu at Carluccio’s We all know and love popular Italian chain from the late chef Antonio Carluccio for its famous pizza and pasta dishes (hello, penne giardiniera), but if you’re after something a little less carb-heavy ahead of your flight, then this brand-new limited-edition grills menu will be right up your street.
Headed up by Carluccio’s chef Christo Nortier, the chain’s culinary team has designed a range of five flame-grilled specials available at seven Dubai branches – including Dubai International Airport – until Saturday March 31.
Promising a “flame-grilled taste for a hearty meal with friends and family”, the new dishes come with two sides, and include chargrilled prawns, swordfish, rib-eye steak, lamb chops, and this roasted butternut squash. Topped with roasted veg, pine nuts and goat’s cheese, it looks the perfect pre-flight option to us. Dhs83. Concourse A, Terminal 3. www.carluccios.com/restaurants/united-arab-emirates.
There’s a fresh (literally) new joint to grab a pick-me-up from in Terminal 3, and it’s called Treehouse Juicery. The healthy new eatery opened in October 2017 and is packed with good-for-you refreshments. According to the team, the juicery “is inspired by the lush, tranquil and green surroundings in which treehouses are usually perched, transporting the busy life of a traveller into the serene escape of nature’s magical bounty”.
The design of the venue is inspired by nature with a “Tree of Life” taking a starring role as a centrepiece with overhanging branches laden with pretty hanging lights for a rustic feel.
It specialises is cold-pressed juices (from Dhs22). “These really pack punch when it comes to fueling your body with essential vitamins minerals, and nutriments, and are a perfect way to boost our transient passengers in a colourful way,” adds the team.
As well as juice there’s a range of salads, coffees and sandwiches, including a kale Caeser salad and a vegan maki roll starting from Dhs31. B Gates, Terminal 3.
