Behold the return of Dolph Lundgren, last seen in a film we’ve actually heard of back in 1995 alongside Keanu Reeves in Johnny Mnemonic (yes, really). And what a return it is. This straight-to-DVD actioner filmed in Bulgaria sees Lundgren play imprisoned ex-US special forces operative in Eastern Europe, Mike Riggins. Offered his freedom in exchange for rescuing a mystery woman from the clutches of a ruthless warlord, Riggins finds himself mixed up in a conspiracy spanning various paramilitary and underworld organisations. So what does he do? Why, he kicks ass of course. You can next see Dolph partner with another clapped out muscleman, Jean Claude Van Damme, in the forthcoming Universal Soldiers: The Next Generation. We can hardly wait.
