Ibn Battuta isn’t just a mall. It’s also the name of one of the greatest travellers of all time, a 21-year-old law student who set out from Morocco to Mecca in 1325. This is the story of his first pilgrimage, painting a picture of Islamic civilization in the 14th century. Showing on the IMAX screen at Ibn Battuta Mall (ah, how things come full circle).

I saw this film recently in Paris and it is fantastic!
Not only does it restore Ibn Battuta to his rightful place as one of the greatest travelers of all time, but it promotes a much deeper understanding of Islam.

I highly recommend it to everyone, (Muslim and Non-Muslim.)
