A mixture of live action and animation, Disney's new film stars Penelope Cruz as a guinea pig Discuss this article

A mixture of live action and animation, the latest from Walt Disney Pictures is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to big-name involvement – Jerry Bruckheimer (Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, Pirates Of The Caribbean) produces, Penelope Cruz, Nicolas Cage and Steve Buscemi provide voices, and even Bill Nighy gets his mug in there as live action evil billionaire Leonard Saber. It’s up to an animated gang of secret agent animals (guinea pigs, hamsters) to save the world, but when the government shuts down their operation and sentences them to a pet shop, they’ll have to both escape and rescue humanity from mortal peril. One for the kids, but don’t feel bad if you enjoy it too.
