We’ve always had mixed feelings about pool parties. On one hand they’re undeniably the most fun to be had in the existence of the universe, but on the other hand they mean hanging around in swimwear, which just makes us feel awkward. With that in mind, we headed to the Mövenpick pool party last weekend fully clothed. We arrived at 9pm and left at a healthy 2.30am, although by 10pm the sweat factor meant we were jealous of those cavorting in the pool. About 650 people turned up on the night, DJs Clifford and Sabrina played some cool tunes, finger food was passed around and UK actor Jimi Mistry popped in (he was in town to play at Chi on July 30 – see opposite). We left sufficiently sweaty, very full and somewhat starstruck. A good night all round.
