Grosvenor House unveiled its very own CD this week: Dubai Eklektic is a double disc with down- and uptempo tracks that apparently represent the ‘dynamism of Dubai’. Mixed by Buddha Bar Dubai’s rather dashing resident DJ, Nicholas Sechaud, and Buddha Bar Paris resident Ravin, the city soundtrack is available at Virgin Megastore if you’re keen to pump the emirate through your stereo. The launch party was suitably glamorous – loads of media types and Grosvenor House bigwigs rubbed shoulders while jostling for canapés, The music was a delightfully mixed bag with a lot of refreshing ethnic sounds thrown in, and both DJs were up on the decks looking incredibly calm, cool and collected. All in all, it marked a nice and (reasonably) respectable Wednesday night out.
