Raining outside? Pah! This didn’t stop more than 1,000 hip-hop fans bopping away to old-school down-tempo beats at Chi this Saturday. A show originally planned for the garden, the organisers heeded the weather warnings and moved proceedings inside, making for a cosy room of revellers enjoying BBC
Radio 1Xtra DJ Ronnie Herel spin everything from retro De La Soul to newer, crowd-pleasing tunes such as Tinie Tempah and Professor Green. The club was rammed with Brits and international musos, forming a solid appreciation coalition for the music. Chi is rebranding its Friday nights to offer live, urban tunes, with exciting names coming our way – keep an eye on our Radar section for more.
