Collars and cuffs or will any T-shirt do? Follow our attire tips
Time Out Dubai staff
Ever wondered what ‘smart casual’ means? Well, you no longer need to scratch your head, we’ve got you covered. With Dubai’s clubbing dress code requiring smart-casual attire and causing confusion all around, we decided to bring you up to speed with what smart casual is all about. In terms of cold, hard rules, clubs and restaurants require collars (or perhaps a snazzy scarf), long trousers and closed shoes. No-nos are ripped jeans, baggy Ts and flip-flops. It’s all about balancing professionalism and social adeptness and looking smart while also being comfortable.
