The bands and DJs you won’t want to miss at beach fest

Hugely popular beach festival Sandance returns to Nasimi for the third time on October 14 with its most exciting line-up yet. We take a closer look at the acts you don't want to miss ...
Chicane Back after a storming set at the first Sandance in October 2010, Nick Bracegirdle’s British dance band will play a full live show, performing dance anthems ‘Offshore’ and ‘Saltwater’ and 2000’s number-one single ‘Don’t Give Up’. Expect to hear music from 2010 album Giants and, if you’re lucky, some new material.
Example The UK singer, rapper and chart-topper, otherwise known as Elliot Gleave, will be livening things up after dark. He’s just released his third album, Playing In The Shadows, which debuted at number one on the UK album charts – this will be the 29-year-old artist’s first performance in the UAE.
David Morales Sandance’s DJ sets will start with NYC producer and Grammy winner Morales, whose career spans 25 years, countless headline sets and remixes with everyone from Mariah Carey to Michael Jackson. He’s been enjoying a residency at Pacha in Ibiza this summer.
Sasha Last on the line-up, but certainly not least, is Sasha. The respected Welsh DJ has been voted among the world’s top 10 discmasters every year since 1997 by Mixmag magazine, and nominated at the DJ Awards every year since 2000. He’s bound to make sure the 12-hour party ends on an electronic high.
Next up is this Dutch DJ and producer, a rapidly rising name in house music (and tipped for superstardom). Expect to hear his track ‘Sweep The Floor’, which stormed Ibiza clubs in 2009. He’s currently a resident at Space Ibiza.
